We believe that video games and their merchandise deserve more than a small corner of a pop-culture store or a “loot” shelf in a gaming shop.
PixelCrib is a gaming culture store that is dedicated to video game memorabilia and collectibles. Unlike traditional gaming stores, we focus on the art, history, culture and development of gaming.
Our range spans retro, indie, and blockbuster franchises across different generations. We work with specialist partners around the world, and we’re selective about what we stock — every item has to meaningfully celebrate video game culture.
A big part of our store is video game music. We carry a curated selection of gaming soundtracks on vinyl, CD, and cassette. We work with labels such as GameChops, Laced Records, Mana Wave Media, Materia Collective, Data Discs, and iam8bit. Their releases are carefully remastered and pressed onto high-quality physical formats, highlighting the work of game composers and drawing attention to a side of gaming that often goes overlooked.
We also carry a carefully chosen range of gaming books. These include art books, interviews, and behind-the-scenes stories from the people who shaped the industry, offering a deeper look at how games are made and how the medium has evolved. Our selection ranges from specialty publishers like Bitmap Books, Geeks-Line Publishing & Fangamer, to non-fiction titles from Boss Fight Books and Third Editions, through to high-end journal publications from Lost In Cult and A Profound Waste of Time.
For those who appreciate video game art, we carry a growing selection of art prints from indie and cult classic titles. Many of these work just as well as standalone pieces of art, even if you’re not familiar with the game they come from.
And yes — we also carry physical games. Our focus here is on limited-production indie releases from specialist publishers such as Limited Run Games and Strictly Limited Games.
We're strong proponents of physical media and our mission is to celebrate video game culture through the thoughtfully chosen, well-made products.
As fast shipping as one could reasonably expect coming from Australia. LP arrived in excellent, mint condition. Not too bad pricing for a limited release I missed out originally. Overall, no complaints and a thumbs up.
We were lucky enough to grab two pieces from PixelCrib for evaluation purposes (Untitled 1 from The Witness / A Cozy Yuletide from SUPERBROTHERS) to assess their quality and I was blown away by the premium feel and look of both pieces as well as the prompt and safe delivery. Aside from art, they stock a huge range of coffee table art books, retro consoles and collections of music. Most of the items are reasonably subtle and would not seem out of place in a home that you may share with a non-gamer, which I’m sure we’ve all felt the pain of in the past
